Since its initial release in 2007, the Urban Aquaponics Manual has been the most comprehensive and up-to-date publication on the exciting world of aquaponics…..anywhere!

The Online Urban Aquaponics Manual – Why?

At the time that we released the 2nd Edition in June 2008, we observed that the learning curve for everyone involved in aquaponics was a steep one and, two years later, that was no less the case as we commenced work on the 3rd Edition of the manual.

We wanted to do a major re-write….and to include new chapters…..but cost effective postage (particularly to our overseas customers) constrained its weight to 500 grams or about 150 pages.

Since we were already at that weight, our only option was to put more material onto the CD that we included with each manual.

We gave that option some serious thought but when we looked at all of the issues (including the inherent redundancy of printed books) we began to realise that the manual’s days, in its current form, were numbered.

We began to explore some technological opportunities for enhancing the manual and, the more we probed, the better it looked.

And so, the Online Urban Aquaponics Manual was born.
